Christ is Risen!

A week late, I wanted to wish everyone a glorious Pascha!

Christ is Risen!

P.S. - if you're on facebook, you can send your friends icon greetings.  There's a resurrection icon that you can send around to wish everyone a wonderful Pascha.

In other news...

Still haven't gotten to church.  I know, it's terrible.  We actually missed all of Lent and Pascha. We're still living amongst boxes, my husband's work schedule is crazy coupled with the fact that we share a single vehicle at the moment, the kids have been sick, etc etc etc...

Plenty of wonderful excuses, right?

I guess I'll be going to confession as my first act back in church.

The sad thing is, the longer I'm away, the less motivation I have to go.  But I know I have to make myself do it tomorrow, if not for me, then for the boys.

Christ is Risen! Hang in there - moving cn be so tough. When you get a chance, church will bring a smile to your face.

Christ is Risen! I agree with Pres. Kathy. Moving can be incredibly hard ... I hope you can find a good church to love you - sounds like you need the encouragment of others.

Hang in there. Sending you my love from Ottawa and my small prayers tonight.

So glad you blogged again.

We've moved a lot in 22 years, but stayed put during the last 8 years and that includes the time we've come into the Orthodox church. It is such a blessing to have the concept of "domestic church" and I spend more time concerned about how we're spending time at home in prayer and worship, than how we're getting to church because we haven't had the difficulties (lately) that you've had. So do remember to be kind to yourself and your children will see the steadfast practice of the faith in their home and be blessed. From Margie in Tennessee

Indeed He is Risen!

I think that the pattern has been set, but once you take that first step, you'll break it!

Much love!

Truly He is Risen!

Wise advice above; moving is hard. And my prayers ascending from Down Under as you seek a parish community.

I was trying to think of something "helpful" to say, but as I was reading the comments, I noticed that distinctive cooking-olive-oil smell the vigil lamp produces when it burns out. Hmm. Perhaps a reminder to me that I've got my own problems!

I'll just say "what Pres. Kathy said!"
